Informative tools are applications which provide vast amounts of information or content to learners' activity.

The informative tool does not really do anything rather they should be considered as huge, passive repositories of information.

Computer as an informative tool can provide a vast amount of information in various forms, such as text, graphics, sound, image, and video.
